• Dignified —Older adults who join the ITN® in their community become dues-paying members of a non-profit organization committed to their independence and mobility. When they pick up the telephone to schedule a ride, they are not be asking a favor- they are making a reservation with their own transportation service. The transition from the driver's seat to the passenger seat for diminished capacity older drivers is never easy – for the drivers or for their families – but it is infinitely easier when there is a viable transportation alternative that keeps the older adult in control

• Supports Community —ITN® is good for business. The service connects seniors to merchants and health care providers through the Ride &Shop™ and Healthy Miles™ Programs, and to local organizations and residential facilities through the Ride Services™ Program. When older adults are free to come and go, regardless of whether they choose to drive, they are empowered to participate in the economic life and social fabric of their community.
